Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-29
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Key Level Trading collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We are committed to collecting the minimum information necessary to deliver the Product and operate the Services described in our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
| Data | When | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Email address (checkout) | When you purchase the PDF | Delivery of your signed download link; lifetime-update broadcasts when new PDF versions ship |
| Email address (sample chapter) | When you submit the lead-capture form | Delivery of the free sample chapter; optional teaching-led email sequence |
| Order metadata | At purchase | Order ID, version of PDF purchased, timestamp, refund status (if applicable) — provided to us by Lemon Squeezy |
| Standard server logs | When you visit the site | IP address, user agent, request path — retained ≤ 14 days for abuse / debugging |
We do not collect:
- Names (unless you voluntarily include one in an email to us)
- Addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, or any other PII not required for delivery
- Browsing history, behavior tracking pixels, third-party advertising identifiers, or session-replay tooling
- Payment card details (handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record — we never see your card number)
- Trading account credentials, brokerage data, or portfolio holdings
- Any sensitive personal information (health, biometric, demographic, etc.)
2. There are no user accounts
We do not maintain user accounts on keylevel.net. Buyers do not log in;
your purchased PDF is delivered to your email with a signed download link.
Lost-link self-service (also email-driven) is the only recovery flow.
3. How we use your data
We use your email address for:
- Transactional fulfillment — sending your purchased PDF or sample chapter, and any lifetime-update broadcasts when a new PDF revision ships. This is the primary use.
- Customer support — responding to questions, errata, refund requests.
We do not:
- sell, rent, or trade your email address,
- share your email with third-party marketers,
- enroll you in marketing email lists without your explicit opt-in,
- send promotional email beyond the lifetime-update broadcasts that are part of the Product itself.
4. Subprocessors and third parties
Operating the Services requires a small number of vetted subprocessors:
- Lemon Squeezy — Merchant of Record. Handles checkout, tax, refunds, and chargebacks. Receives the data necessary to process your purchase (email, IP, payment info). See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — infrastructure provider. Stores order /
email records in DynamoDB (in
us-west-2); stores the PDF in S3; sends fulfillment and broadcast email via SES. AWS does not access your data except as required to operate the services. - YouTube (Google) — only if you watch our videos. We do not control the data YouTube collects from viewers; refer to YouTube's privacy policy.
We do not use any analytics provider, tag manager, advertising platform, or session-replay tool.
5. Email broadcasts and unsubscribe
When a new version of the PDF is published, past buyers receive a one-time broadcast email with a fresh signed download link. This is part of the "lifetime updates" benefit of the Product. Every broadcast email contains a one-click unsubscribe link; using it removes your address from future non-transactional sends. Transactional purchase confirmations and lost-link recoveries are not affected.
6. Retention
- Buyer records (email + order metadata) — retained indefinitely so we can honor lifetime updates. You may request deletion at any time per Section 8 below; deletion ends your access to lifetime updates.
- Lead records (sample-chapter opt-ins) — retained until you unsubscribe or until 24 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
- Server logs — retained ≤ 14 days.
7. Cookies
The site uses functional cookies only — none for tracking or advertising. Lemon Squeezy's checkout overlay may set its own cookies; see their privacy policy.
8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Wherever you are located, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you,
- request correction of inaccurate data,
- request deletion of your data,
- request that we stop emailing you.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@keylevel.net (or the
contact address published in the site footer). We respond within 30 days.
9. Children
The Services are not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to current Product owners by email.
